São Paulo, Brazil/ Abu Dhabi, UAE: EDGE, one of the world’s leading defence and advanced technology groups, and the Brazilian Navy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a framework for cooperation aimed at assessing and strengthening the cyber protection capabilities required by the Navy. The signing ceremony was at LAAD Security 2026, held in São Paulo from 14 to 16 April.
The agreement establishes the foundation for technical, operational, and logistical discussions, with the objective of exploring solutions across several priority areas for the Brazilian Navy, including the development of an operational concept for the implementation of a strategic cyber defence unit; the engineering and development of cyber monitoring and protection tools; the enhancement of operational technology cybersecurity in maritime environments, and the training and development of human capital dedicated to safeguarding the cyber spaces of interest to the Brazilian Navy.
